Steven Richard Taylor was born on December 29th, 1982 in the small town of Chatham, Ontario. The youngest of three boys, his mother often found peace once a week when the family attended church. At the age of four, Steven no longer was interested in sitting still during church, so his parents one day decided to give him a pen and some paper to keep him occupied. This continued for the next few weeks until they noticed that Steven wasn't just drawing random things like most children, but drawing the people around him in great detail.
Through the years Steven spent a lot of his time trying to perfect his artistic skill. He read books, talked to teachers, researched on the computer and spent many long hours with a pencil and eraser in his hand. Many of Stevens sketches won awards in contest that he entered during his younger years.
At age 20, Steven had the opportunity to take part in 'Art in the Park', a showcase for local artists in the Chatham-Kent area, and was able to sell several prints of previous work he had done, in addition to drawing characters for many customers.
He was really passionate about his work so he continued sketching pictures of both animals and people for commission and also took a course through Art Instruction School. After about a year Steven, now 23 realized that he wasn't getting the amount of business he was hoping for, he moved out west to Alberta to explore different opportunities there. It didn't take long before Steven knew that his artistic ability was unique, and shouldn't be pushed aside. So he then returned to his home town in Ontario, to aggressively pursue his artistic career.
Once back in Ontario, Steven enrolled himself at Westervelt College in London. There he studied Internet Graphic Design and graduated with honours a short year later.
Steven has gained experience working with local Chatham-Kent companies, as well as maintaining personal clientele.
